Sorry monkeys, I didn't update yesterday 'cause I got home around 2:20am after having dinner with Andora as congratulations on her new job, and playing videogames until I practically passed out.
(One of these days... I'll play a game so addictive that I won't sleep all night. Then, I finally will have had my "stayed-up-all-night" night.)
Hey, Jon Arbuckle has a Journal now, too! ^_^
A couple of days ago (I forgot to mention this), that kids' show on Telepace had the hosts doing the Macarena. First it was the Las Ketchup song, now the Macarena. With the motions. Kinda funny to watch 30-somethings doing the macarena to a camera ^_^
A couple of days ago, I also heard that City Hall is thinking of charging people who live outside of Metropolitan Toronto that come into the city. The idea is there, but how they're going to implement it is beyond me. There are far too many roads going into Toronto for them to track. I understand that London has just started this idea (but downtown only), and it's working.
A little more serious-but-not-really topic:
You all know how I care about androids and humanoid robots. My want of a robotic companion is high on my list of desirables (whether it be an AIBO, an SDR-4X, or a Mr. Phone - kidding about the phone :P). My favorite animes are Key The Metal Idol, Chobits and Hand Maid May (Steel Angel Kurumi is quickly joining that list, too).
I picked up Volume 4 (of 8) of the Chobits manga last week, and I've just finished reading it today.
Chapters 47 and 48 had me crying.
They go into some backstory of the bakery manager (Ueda). I don't want to wreck it for anyone, but there is a reason that Ueda doesn't own a Persocom anymore. It's an incredible tale of love and love lost, well-explained in just 26 pages.
So sad...
I'm such a sucker for an android's emotions ;_;
Heck, I remember that I never saw the ending for Short Circuit 2 because the sight of Johnny-5 losing his memory and energy was too much for me to watch. (I was probably 8 years old, give me a break :P)
I really should pre-order the Chobits DVD (so I can not watch it when it arrives :P) and the Hand Maid May Empty box...
And maybe, just maybe, I should finish watching Hand Maid May...
Huh. I just discovered "fuck" and "fucking" are in my Palm's dictionary - and no, I didn't add those myself. O_o I guess that makes Palms 18+.
Yesterday I found a packet of Zig-Zag rolling papers at work. I assumed them to be Erich's, and I handed them back to him.
I didn't mention that I believe that a person has rolling papers for one reason only - marijuana.
He says that they were his friends' papers, but sometimes he smokes cigarettes without the filter - breaks his store-bought cigs and puts the tobacco in the rolling papers.
Now, today I was cutting paper and I was certain I was smelling pot. I traced the source of the scent to the scissors.
I have no problems if he smokes marijuana... but now my curiosity (nyaa~) is piqued.
Can dried tobacco smell similar to pot? Because now I'm second-guessing myself. At first sniff, marijuana was definitely what I was smelling.
Mister Rogers passed away this morning. I loved watching that show when I was young. :( Here are some quotes of his. May his legacy live on.

My head aches right now... it has since I left work. I don't know what triggered it, but I guess maybe turning in is the best remedy.
I want to go to Pacific Mall tomorrow (before work) and get that ASIMO model kit before it disappears, and perhaps I should go to 401Sound (right at the end of the street) and look into Tape/CD decks for the car...

The final level is hard O_o I haven't beat it yet.
