I really should not sit down in front of the computer in the morning until I'm ready to leave O_o - this morning, I got up around Noon (after a VERY relaxing 10 hours of sleep), and I have to leave at 2:00 to get to work on time. I noticed that Mom wanted me to walk Jake and start the dishwasher - ok, so I'll do that after I hop on the computer for a bit. I say to myself "I'll get everything done at 1:00 so I can leave following that."

So I get on, start talking to people... 1:00 comes around, and I notice it. I ignore it and keep chatting. 1:30. "Hm... it takes me 20 minutes to shower, plus I need to walk Jake and the dishwasher... better get moving." So by the time I'm walking Jake, it's 2:00, and I bring Jake inside, bolt back out at 2:10 and arrive at work about 3 minutes late :P

A couple of things happened over the course of today - so much, in fact, that the note I left for the morning guy was a page and a half of "a few notes". O_o We've removed some IPTN Filler Events and replaced them with shorter, generic fillers. This results in our Logging pages becoming much longer, because instead of one 5-minute piece, we have 10 30-second fillers O_o My hand started to hurt after writing a few pages for the overnight logs O_o

I've heard that the move probably won't happen until at least May now. Oh well, I had my hopes up. Not now :P

I've been drinking tons of Tang recently. At least it's making me drink more water stuff ^_^

CTV's going to have a Canadian version of American Idol - amazingly enough, called Canadian Idol! No Simon, thankfully ^_^

Horrid Subtitle alert! We got a subtitled version of one of the Italian movies we've played ad nauseum at work, and I think I'm going to have a nice time watching it and laughing at the bad English wording ^_^
"His stomach revolved" (meaning, he felt sick)
"His beard was so impressed" (um... I think that was supposed to be "impressive" :P)

Both Saku and Pixy are turning their LJs to Friends-only, and I don't blame them - the Oekaki Perverts/Jerks are starting to get quite annoying. Even I don't visit the Oekaki as much as I do, and I don't even draw >_< Unfortunately, LJ doesn't have a "cure-all" in terms of changing your ENTIRE set of entries... you have to manually edit them one-by-one. They suggest using a downloadable client (that way, you don't need to go through the web interface), but you still have to set all of your entries one at a time.

I really do care for these two friends... I need to make sure that they're safe and happy. I only wish I could be with them, because the internet is not the best shoulder to lean on - Real people are. Being there in person is much more important. For the sake of their privacy, I won't be linking to their Journals from here on out... but it doesn't really matter, because if they've gone Friends-Only, you won't be able to see their entries anyhow unless you're a LJ-Friend.

Maybe I should get a webcam...

Maybe...! If only I programmed at all... *shrug* Someone out there could do this with a couple of hours, I bet. A small program that goes to your first entry, changes it, saves it, goes to the following entry, changes it, saves it, and just continues on through the entire list - like a "Find and Replace" option - changing every "Public" entry into "Friends". Of course, this program would take a long time, considering how long it takes the LJ clients to submit or retrieve an entry. But, it could do it without any human interaction. Just load, change "Public" to "Friends" and let it run for an hour...

Isn't this a cute LJ pic? It's not mine, but I found it in a newspost ^_^

Wow! Y'know, if other people didn't bring attention to it, I would have never noticed. All of a sudden LJ's a lot quicker and not dragging its feet everywhere... and it's because they've set a limit of 4-5 posts in a 24-hour period for free users. Paid users is 20, and I think that's definitely plenty. I rarely see 1 a day from some people (Including myself ^_^).

That's not so bad, considering that most of my posts are either 3 in quick-fire succession, or one long-winded rambling piece that never seems to end and has no segueways... kinda like this one. :P

It ends now. Well, after a quiz.
