To start, I think this recipe for Vanilla tea (the right-side rant) is awesome. Definitely a keep-you-awake situation ^_^

Why is there so much stuff about LoTR: TTT on Telepace recently? For the past week there's always been some news article about it. They continuously keep showing the trailer (or parts of it).

The first "teaser" of The Animatrix is up... I am looking forward to watching this ^_^

I was reading our Benefits package yesterday at work (finally! I'm covered under an insurance plan - took them long enough O_o) and after about half an hour, I was in the dental area... now if there's one thing I can't stand watching, is operations or anything involving the face. So, here I am, casually reading the Dental Plan, and it's outlining stuff...

...dental services, including braces and splints, to repair damage to natural teeth caused by an accidental blow to the mouth that occurs while you are covered...

There's stuff in here that's making me twitch. Stuff about getting hurt and how much they pay out if:

Loss of one arm or one foot - 75%
Loss of four fingers on one hand - 33 1/3%
Loss of entire sight of both eyes - 100%
Loss of hearing in one ear - 25%

...it goes on like this for a while. O_o I stopped reading it after a while. It's not something I'm really totally needing to read at the moment.

Regarding work, we were having troubles with our Playback decks recently, and Paul decided that since Applied wasn't moving fast enough for us (and that it was going to costly to repair the machines) that he'd contact Panasonic (the makers of the VTR decks) directly. Because Panasonic has now heard that Applied wasn't working fast, and our dissatisfaction = we go to another company = Sony, they lit a fire under Applied's ass - Paul got a call back in 5 minutes from Applied saying that they're going to fix all the machines for free ^_^ We now have our ace-in-the-hole - we go to Panasonic if something isn't done right ^_^

That Animatrix teaser is amazing... I definitely want to see the rest of it now.

Panasonic rulez. Quality equipment, and fairly competent service. Sony just sucks up the wazoo.

Animatrix... Urg. I dunno. Ah well... There's enough of this US turning Japanese/HK into cool crap which in turn, makes other people think they're badass after seeing stuff like Animatrix... :p Don't you love us big picture people ;)

You never mentioned anything about Body Parts :P

Yeah, Panasonic seems to be fairly decent. U8TV was completely Panasonic. Of course, Alliance-Atlantis (who owned half of U8) is totally Sony, so I bet there was a bit of conflict of interest in there somewhere ^_^

Aren't a couple of the Animatrix parts done by Japanese directors? Or is it still "Would you like to direct this American script"-kinda thing? I was really impressed with the animation quality on "The Second Renaissance, Part 1".

Awww, thanks.

It's not like those guys know about my journal, anyhow. If they knew that I was a friend of yours, I think that they probably woulda shut up. But since I was new, I guess they thought I wasn't going to do such a thing.

Hope to chat with you sometime, somewhere else ^_^
