God, you know, I feel so out-of-touch with people... I need to keep in touch and read LJ more often. I know I say this over and over, I guess I'm not in the habit anymore :( It comes down to time and habits, and I feel like I haven't had the time to read Twitter or LJ, but I'll still tweet from time to time... maybe I should, you know, call people, all old-fashioned-like, and just chat with them that way.

Work is work, it's been busy training new people and dealing with issues. I'll admit that even on my days off I'm thinking about the business and I don't feel as accomplished-as-in-relaxed as I should be when I'm not working. However, the past few days I've been feeling like things have been going well -- I'm talking with my co-workers, I'm getting work done at a decent clip, I'm getting out on time almost leaving on-time, I'm delegating (well, at least to a couple of new workers)... :)

On Sunday, we had participated in a local Santa Claus Parade and handed out our gingerbread buns and scones! I had wanted to walk in the "Big" Santa Claus Parade (which was the week earlier) but working on the weekends is still something I have to do. But, we got the van out, stuffed it full of buns and scones, and travelled along the parade route, handing them out! It was crazy, with four people handing out samples (and us running back and forth to the van to refill), we gave out roughly 3,000 samples in an hour!

I went and saw Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney a few weeks ago courtesy of Toronto's Gamercamp. It was a LOT of fun. Anyone who's played the first game would see so many familiar characters and plotlines -- heck, they adapted the first game -- and it was just fun to watch the characters act as they did in the game. Larry was an idiot, Von Karma was pretentious, and Phoenix shuffled his papers/evidence so often it reminded me of when I was playing the game and looking for that one critical item in the inventory while the rest of the cast waited. XD

We also saw Wreck-It Ralph! It's a brilliant movie, I love the cameos, but the true star was the story. Brilliant work with all three worlds and all the characters! Even if you aren't a video-game fan, I think you'd like it. It's just bonus for the easter eggs. :D

Christine and I had our Engagement Party at a Mandarin a couple of weekends ago! It was kinda strange to see so many people together for dinner (what am I saying, we've now got a yearly Xmas Dinner with this giant-ass ham) but it was great to see so many people out to support us. Unfortunately, Mandarin imposed a timeframe and we had to leave after 2 hours, so we went over to a local pub called the Granite Brewery. It was really nice and inviting!

Here's a couple of links I've been meaning to pass along!
The next step in the Nekomimi brainwave catears is now a wagging tail. Oh my god, these are too cute. XD I worry that once they release enough of them, though, your forehead will have way too many electronics to keep track correctly. XD

Christine and I have been watching a lot of Regular Show and more recently, the end of the season of Adventure Time. This show is starting to really get impressive - and considering it's not exactly adult animation, I'm amazed at how creepy and deep it can get! I'm wondering where they're gonna go with the season finale, but thankfully we don't have to wait too long to find out - Season 5's already started!

With in-jokes like this, I'm looking forward to actually playing Miracle Mask and Virtue's Last Reward even more now. XD

And then finally, there are the kitties. Recently we acquired a pair of kittens from [livejournal.com profile] sierralad's friend, and it appears that they are a mixture of Tabby and a cat called a Russian Blue. They don't ever want to be left alone - they like staying nearby, which is pretty cute! I've posted a couple of pictures of them, but here's one for those who haven't seen them yet :) http://twitpic.com/bgilsl (the one in the front is Rocket, and the fuzzier one in the back is Hopper.)

Haha what a great little snip from Virtue! I'm still really early on in Miracle Mask; taking my sweet time with that one. It's cute so far though, let me know when you get it!

Glad to hear work is going swimmingly, and that you're actually leaving the facility at a somewhat reasonable hour ;)
