I want to wish everyone a wonderful Christmastime. It's been an extremely hectic time for me, and a lot of anxiety and stress with helping out the Leaside Store with the Christmas preparations and scheduling... if it seems like all I talk about is COBS, well, I have to admit that it takes up a great deal of my life right now. So much so that I kinda got stressed out about gifts this year. Thankfully, Christine pushed ourselves out the door one day just to get out and buy gifts for those who we'll be seeing in the next couple of days, and even just checking a few names off the list really does make me feel better about everything.

Today being Christmas Eve and a Saturday, the COBS was packed tight. I came in at 4 (yes, in the morning) to start preparations for the mad rush that was inevitable. It was only a trickle but it was even unusual to have 4 people come into the store before 7 in the morning. :P Before you knew it, we had 5 sales staff in the front, 4 bakers in the back, and 20 customers lining up through the door. XD Coming in at 4 was actually kinda nice, since it meant that I could go out when things were getting more hectic. I revisited at 3 and saw that stock was dwindling, but there was still a big lineup.

Plans are for me to return to The Beach location on January 5th, and from there, well, hopefully I'll get some Bakery Training. I have some ideas for the new year, and one of those ideas may involve stepping headlong into a fresh new store.

Again, I wish everyone the Merriest of Christmases and the Happiest of Hannukahs, and Festivus for the Rest Of Us. Take care, everyone! Don't overdo it on the Eggnog ;)

In the spirit of Christmas, here's a 10 things you probably didn't know about the Charlie Brown Christmas Special. I mean, sure, they sound like kids, but I wasn't aware they were so young that they couldn't read their scripts XD And here's a heartwarming story of a random stranger going into a store and giving their money to pay off some other people's layaways. It's stories like that that really do warm my heart, to see that there are still good news stories from time to time. :D
