So, I haven't gotten confirmation on this just yet, but I figure the best thing is to let everyone know, otherwise what I'm keeping hidden is gonna really gnaw at me...
It's nothing too serious, but it is a bit of a change for me. It appears that I'm moving to the Leaside location within a week or two!
I won't go into too many details, but the Leaside location is currently running on one manager out of the three, and they need the extra hand there to get themselves organized. If there's anything that I've been trying to focus on lately, it's getting The Beach location organized and into a well-oiled machine, so hopefully I can show my stuff at this new location.
I won't say I'm not nervous! I definitely am! I'm certain that I was nervous-to-all-heck when I went to The Beach as well, but I just tend to overthink things too much, and it's never as bad as I think it is. Even this past weekend, I was fearing some unknown "bad stuff" when I came back in to work today, and it was a damn fine day! Nothing went wrong and it was biz-zy! which always makes the day go faster. I also had to drive out to a Staples mid-day to get more printer toner since we ran out. It breaks up the day a bit when I have to drive somewhere rather than just walk to get lunch. :P
I'm also starting to work on the Manage-To-Own certification booklet. It looks daunting but as long as I take it in small chunks (and some of the procedural work I've already completed, in the past couple of weeks) it'll be fine. It's a 12-week course, it may take a little longer than the 12 weeks, but I'll get there. :D
I'll admit that while this is a great opportunity to show my stuff, I'm still a bit surprised at how quickly things change. However, before Nicole and I landed at The Beach, we had originally been told that we were only going to be there until the end of September, so this has just been a bit of an extended stay. It'll be kinda sad to say goodbye to this place so soon, but hey, opportunity knocks, I'll answer the door :)

I love going out for part of the day during work, as well, as just having a... change is different. When we did our big transfer over from our own servers to our client's a couple of months ago, I heard that a lot of good words about me were filtered up through the management layers for staying around with them for the whole day to sort things out when things didn't go to plan in our optimistic two-hour window. But as far as I was concerned, it felt like a day off!

Plus, the Leaside area's pretty posh... it may be hard to find a quick lunch, but any lunch I'd get there would be pretty tasty. ^^
