This is a strawberry Shortcake that I made for Christine's mother's birthday party (for tomorrow). Following the instructions that I got from last year's Baking Arts course (having to make a few adjustments along the way due to different pan sizes), it looks like things worked out rather well, and it just barely fit into the cake container I had. I was lucky. ^^

I hope it tastes as good as it looks. :D

This week, our Manager is away on vacation, so I'll be running COBS for a week-and-a-half on my own. That alone is kinda nerve-wracking to me, but as long as people don't run amok or anything, I look forward to it. :)

I could always make one without almonds. ;) I'm pleased to say that the cake tasted wonderful, considering my worry about the cake being dry. :D
