Well, for the two weeks that I've been working at COBS so far, I'm not burnt-out yet, and I have plenty of time to recuperate inbetween shifts, which is a godsend due to the physical workout I've decided to pursue as a career. :) I've been watching my back, and my legs are definitely getting a lot of squats in over the course of a day (and kneeling, something I had been doing prior, was also somehow doing bad things to my knees :P)
This past week, I spent a little extra time learning some of the non-retail work, so I had been doing the daily cash-ups and bank deposits (even simpler than the Canadian Tire days), and on my last day, I was even privy to helping make the dough for tomorrow's Pane Di Casa and Turkish Bread (in which I make a "Poolish") as they use a very minimal amount of yeast and a maximum amount of time to create those breads.
Someone came to visit me sometime this week! I say "sometime" since they came in before I had arrived for the day (before 10:30), and unfortunately my co-workers didn't catch their names, only the description of "an Australian and his Russian wife". I-- I don't know if I know this couple, I definitely don't know them based on that description alone. XD
I wonder how different Newmarket will be? I can't see the COBS Bread location from Google Maps but I've been told that they're on the exterior of the building (otherwise they couldn't open at 6am like all the other stores do). It'll have different products than the Bloor West store, and actually, as it's a new store, is still trying to determine what items it will sell every day. I got a chance to look through the giant recipe book of items they can make, and now I know how to make the Tiger Loaf, so I wonder if they'll be trying something different every day.
Child of Eden arrived at my front door today. Oddly enough, this is probably the first time in awhile that I actually had the time to sit down (or in this case, stand up) and play a game that had just arrived in this apartment (with the exception of some Steam-pushed games on a Humble Bundle). My right arm definitely get an intense workout with that game! I still need to figure out how to switch back-and-forth without the system going haywire, though -- if I place my other arm behind my back it sometimes switches to the opposite weapon and jumps about the screen. Maybe I don't have the optimal Kinect Room. :P
I actually didn't realize that "Lumi", the character that Child of Eden revolves around, has been around in Q? Entertainment's games for awhile now. She's the voice of Genki Rockets, and this song even showed up in No More Heroes - despite Ubisoft removing the music video from the North American release of the game, the song was still in the Clothes Shop.
