Alright, well, it's been a week since Anime North, it's about time I get these pictures up to show everyone :)
(That's not my car; it's just one that was parked at our hotel. I wonder where they came in from!)

First up, when I first went to the con, I quickly forgot my camera, so I was cameraless for the first few hours of the con. XD
Apparently the first picture I took at the con was a pair of My Little Pony Anthro cosplayers. I noticed Rainbow Dash right away, that was easy with that multicoloured hair, but I totally didn't even realize until she point it out that standing right next to her was Dr. Hooves. XD I seriously wanted to talk with them a bit and ask them what made them think about doing these characters for the con, and I should've asked later on that night when I saw them again at Milestones! Ah well, it's a con, it's hard to get everything done you want. ^^

Next to us in the Dealer's Room, there's a guy who sells costume-suit-like things. They were kinda popular throughout the weekend, but when I saw a Narutard doing what Narutards do best, I couldn't help but snap a picture. Yes, he placed the plastic bag over his head. XD

Maya and Madaraki Fran! I was surprised to find 2 Franken Fran cosplayers this year - especially since it's not officially licensed, plus to find two female fans who like the series (which is kinda squicky) is kinda insane. :)

Here's the other Franken Fran. :D

Ryan was selling a lot of Doctor Who stuff, including this awesome Dalek figure (sculpted by Weta!) at the con. It was snapped up on Saturday for $275, I think?

One of two views from the Radisson, which we discovered was cheaper than the Doubletree and for a true "suite" room! We were impressed, and considering that we never went to this hotel in the past 10 years, it was easy to just make this change. :D

One damn-impressive Ganon cosplay! :D

Random catgirl. How could I not take a picture. ^^

This was a view of the Dealer's Room. Throughout the entire time, it was pretty packed, sometimes even being even difficult to walk down the aisles as they were packed with people ogling the merchandise. Rumours have said that Anime North broke 22,000 people that weekend, and it's guaranteed that they are going to instigate a "cap" on the number of attendees next year.

One of two Deadmau5 cosplayers this year! The other one, which I kept seeing/hearing (as he had a speaker built into his helmet) I never caught a picture of.

Who's this chick? There was a lot of Final Fantasy cosplayers at this year's con, but really, I was more impressed with the massive full-suit Chocobo.

Another Chocobo picture as I'm certain

Dood! I then caught this Prinny on the way over to the Fanboy Confessional premiere (where I went the wrong way by accident, thankfully I wasn't late for that XD)

...and right in front of me after leaving Fanboy Confessional was Falco. :D Why I didn't snap the Samus cosplayer, I'll never know. (They seemed busy and deep in discussion.)

A ...Snivy, I believe? I have a great respect for these full-suit cosplayers. The weather wasn't scalding-hot this weekend, but it was rainy and not the best weather to be outside. Despite that, there was a lot of people in what must've been some hot suits.

I took a picture of this cosplayer purely for the stained-glass

I recognize Tuxedo Mask on the far right, but I have no idea of any of the others. I took the picture because it was a neat set. (Plus, that one on the far left looks lonely. Awww.)

How to Train Your Dragon! I remember that

I believe that's a Patlabor mecha? The police-lights on the shoulders make me think it is.

This was a really impressive dragon that I caught! -- running about the Dealer's Room, that is. ^^ They had the legs doing that digitigrade movement and everything. It must take months to create costumes like this. I hope that it's getting an appropriate workout to all the local cons. :)

A couple of years ago, there was an accident right out front of the Doubletree, and someone snapped a picture of a Death Note cosplayer. It's something of a local meme in that it ended up becoming one of those demotivational posters/"When You See It" memes. I kinda was shocked and highly amused that someone went to the trouble to make stickers to "commemorate" this event.

This was me testing the zoom on my camera...

And then me testing the macro on my camera. This little ladybug was on

To think, this was the Regal Constellation's front entrance at some point in the past. The Constellation was one of the first hotels that Anime North had been in (after moving from the Michener Institute from the first couple of years). Shortly after the con had outgrown it, it was shut down. But while it's completely demolished in the front and back, the building itself is still standing.

Prior to the con, is was discovered that the Conservatives were holding a rally at the same convention centre that we were. About a week before the con occurred, AN sent out an e-mail essentially telling everyone "Don't Troll The Tories". I found this sign particularly amusing. It's not often you'd see the two together. EVER.

Really, what can be said about this.
And here's a few pictures of

...and failing. ^^

As I kept taking pictures, it just got funnier and funnier. XD
Something I always get upset about after the con's done is that I don't see my friends a lot afterwards. And I'm not talking about after-con dinners, I'm talking about for the rest of the freaking year. I think I need to resolve this more this year. The question of the ages was posted over in
Next up, Professor Layton and the Massive Donut!

Upon seeing that green/blue/purple dragon again, I can see what was bugging me about it when I saw it briefly at the time: The legs are more like a goose/duck legs than what you usually see with dragons, where they have a "normal" knee but an extended ankle/foot area. Bird legs being that long, the artistic perfectionist in me wants to redline the photo to correct the legs LOL

Love the photos though, I love seeing convention photo posts like this! All the costumes!!!

With 20,000 people coming through the doors, and I think there were 130+ cosplayer groups in the masquerade alone, I get this feeling that there was at least a thousand different costumers, and I'm not counting the cat-ear outfits ^^
I also missed grabbing shots of that ludicrously-awesome cat-ear motorcycle helmet (http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j295/sakuramiko16/CeltySturluson-1.jpg). I think there were two of those cosplayers this year.
Though, Christine sent this to me, and I immediately thought you'd like it - a spherical squirrel (http://cuteoverload.com/2011/06/06/puffy-powers-are-go/). ;)

Only one Layton? Damn. That's no good. We need to start forming swarms or something. I need to start doing some coordination of troops. But at least there was one!
