hysteriachan linked to them, and I thought they'd be rather important... and then ceremoniously dropped them into an e-mail. Then dotter_can made a quick post about one of them, and I figured it'd be best to get the word out, too.
The first one is related to your Google account. Apparently a little while ago Google got hacked, insanely enough. Some passwords got stolen. (I thinkwoekitten was one of the people inconvenienced by it.) I'm sure this happens all the time, but Google is one of the few companies that seems to admit it.
The other deals with clickthroughs and things such as Amazon Referral links. Even if you don't have a referral link, you'd be wise to turn this option off in the LJ admin console. You can find out about it here. (Why do companies think they can do this without getting caught? This is similar to the Superman Bank Scam...)
