Eep! I keep having these lapses of "not updating for 3 days" and always when things happen! eee....
This article at The Onion made me laugh. 'Because it's so true. And not. Bwahahah.
It appears that the mailed gifts I sent out to my close online friends have arrived - Pixy has already opened hers (as her Sinterklaas has passed already), and Saku has put hers under the tree - I assume that Wataame's has arrived, but seeing that she's at her bf's for the holidays, she can't confirm it :P
I went with Sabrina to see The Two Towers. It was quite different from the book but pretty amazing anyways! I really was hoping to see the Ents and the Sam/Smeagol banter, and both made it into the story, with amazing results... I was floored in seeing all those computer-generated special effects.
Sabrina and I also spent a long time in creating a gingerbread house from scratch. It features a deliberately-uneven roof, a porch, 5 gumball snowmen, a ice-cream-cone tree, and "stained-glass" Life Savers windows. It's an incredible piece of work, and will be a centerpiece at the Christmas party tomorrow. (More on that later.)
I was feeling sick while working on the house... I was in change of the Royal icing, and it consists of nothing but raw egg whites and icing sugar - either one eaten alone would not be wise, and both of them together... uuuuuuu~~....
Today, I got driven in to work again. I had to bus home but went to Rogers to volunteer for the final Swap Shop of the year. Afterwards, we all went to Swiss Chalet for our dinner (no pizza - yatta!) and talked with the friends there. I grabbed a number of e-mail addresses so that we can keep in touch (go figure, they all use MSN Messenger, and that's the only Messenger I don't use), but I found a new friend there. Wil was asked to come in for some extra help today (it's likely he won't be around at Swap Shop often), and I discovered he lives practically on the other side of Yonge Street - maybe a 8-minute walk over to his place. O_o Small world! I got his e-mail and will keep in touch with him.
Thankfully, tomorrow I have a car to get home - but I have to beetle home really fast so that Dad can go to a hockey practice before the boys team goes to Sweden for the championships.
We are having a Christmas Party tomorrow, for all the family on my Mom's side. Since I'm working the morning shift, Mom deliberately moved the party to Noon (from 11:00am) so that some people will still be around when I get home ^_^ I went and got a couple of Christmas videos for the kids - The Nightmare Before Christmas (apparently it was on last night... boo) and Beauty and the Beast's Enchanted Christmas. The Nightmare Before Christmas is in a Special Edition these days... looks interesting to watch ^_^
What's Kinnon up to? Ever since he left for Hawaii to see Banni, all communications has ceased. (Ye gods, I sound like I'm in the Aliens movie or something :P ) I hope that they're doing alright - probably completely ignoring the computer altogether for some m4d l0v1n. *evil grin*
Gotta get to sleep - I started to update this over an hour ago and I just finished reading other people's LJs and writing this up myself O_o Off to bed with me!
Oh, and if you didn't get a Christmas Card... Ninjai.com has a nice one for ya. Gegege...

If you get msn then we can online-messaging tag over three different services...^_^
...That card was terrible. Horrid. *shakes at the memory*
Re: I want more Ents. More Ents says I.
I thought it was funny, but then again, that's me. :P

I expect that it'll show up within a day or two. ^_^
