I think this man is incredible. Managing to rewrite the way comics were created and released in newspapers, creating adventure after adventure of a little boy, his stuffed tiger, and his hyperactive imagination, and then disappearing entirely, not even leaving any marketing or stuffed Hobbes animals around to remember him by, just his luscious watercolour paintings as Calvin raced down the hill on his red wagon.

It's been 15 years since Watterson stepped out of the spotlight and became a recluse. Stories and articles have been written in trying to find the man, and even when reporters start looking in the city he's rumoured to be living in, the city steps forth and kindly asks them to respect his wish to not be bothered. For once, the reporters have been respectful in this regard.

However, now that 15 years have passed, the American Postal Service is issuing a Calvin & Hobbes postage stamp. Someone managed to get an interview with Mr. Watterson, as well. I still have such respect for this man. I want a few of those stamps, just to keep, to add to that massive 3-volume Calvin & Hobbes compilation.

I still don't understand why he did step out the spotlight.

I read some stuff he said and .. "I miss much data to understand it properly" I mean his reasons do not sound .. "clear enough".

Maybe I should read that interview.
