I got Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth today. I happened to stop by the EBGames at Fairview after dropping off Christine (and a book at the library), and while I was there talking with the owner, the UPS guy showed up with the games :D

I haven't even played it yet! I went home and did some laundry, then played some No More Heroes 2 before disappearing to work - I figure, I can't play NMH2 at work, so I can play AAI:ME some time tonight, maybe at dinner. (I originally wrote for dinner, which would be a very light, tough, and expensive dinner.)

I find it kinda funny that I've been playing more of the Minigames on NMH2 than the actual running-around-slicing-up-enemies part of the game. What I have seen of the game, though, is standard "batshit crazy": Groupies being used as projectiles, a giant robot fight, and cat-stretching. (I've never seen that kind of exercise for a cat.)

I wonder if I eat too much "comfort food". I make food that I like for my dinners at work, and it's safe, and it's a one-pot meal, and it's pretty much the same a lot of the time - stroganoff or pasta, no deviations, I'm not that inventive ;) - and definitely probably too much of sodium, carbs, and everything else, but it tastes good to me. That'd be "comfort food" in a nutshell, isn't it?

Ergh, I've got a light headache tonight. Maybe the fresh air while I go to my class will help. Maybe some comfort food which I've conveniently brought along with me... (on a side note, it's great to see that the school has microwaves situated around the place.)

I didn't know that was even planned to be released here yet, much less being actually out! That's the advantage you get when you... pay attention to release dates.

This is the first one that's been released after I got into the series (much later than everyone else) - I'm still to play Apollo Justice but am otherwise nearly caught up with the rest of the world in this area. I'm very interested in the third-person side-on view of Edgeworth's game possibly bringing back some of the LucasArts adventure mood...

I think I had it reserved back in October or November when I first heard about it. ;) Speaking of which, Ghost Trick, another game by the same development team as Ace Attorney, is also in EBGames' Pre-Order list, if you were interested :)

I'm excited to try this new take on the Ace Attorney games, too. I've been told that, timeline-wise, it actually occurs before the events in Apollo Justice so it might be an idea to play this one first... though, now that I think about it, they really go all over the place with the timelines, so it won't make much of a difference :P

Everyone's getting back into the Adventure-Game! I'm very happy with this; it was my favorite style of game when I was younger, and I didn't like the lack of them after Full Throttle. I attribute Telltale Games in reviving the genre.

Also, I thought you were living across-the-pond, as it were. I must've caught something off your journal and misconstrued it somehow. :)

I lived in Britain for 22 years, so my journal must show a lot of evidence of that :) I now live in Boston, though, and one of the nicer things about living in America is the way that it's likely to see releases of Japanese games within a lifetime of their original release date. Europe missed out on a lot of titles that are deemed classics here, such as Chrono Trigger and Earthbound, and it's sort of nice to get to play things earlier than a lot of people I know (on the very rare occasions that I actually buy games new).

Telltale Games seem to have been doing the genre a great service, but I've never played any of their adventures either! Perhaps it's time to give them a try, too.
