So... Guess where I am?
I'm working. Again. For the second time in one day.
What happened? Well, first I was called in on Monday to work 8-5 on Tuesday. I wasn't doing anything, and money would be good, so I agree. I come in, work 8-almost 6, and then come home.
11:30pm comes around, and I get another call. Turns out the person who was supposed to do the overnight shift can't make it. So, they called me. I've only been away from the place for 5 hours and they're already calling me back...
Now keep in mind, however, that this means
a) I'll be paid again... :)
b) Once the shift is over, I will have been awake for 25.5 hours straight.
I'm currently drinking a big cup of tea. I hope this holds me through the night - otherwise I'm gonna need more tea.
I have a feeling I'll get my second wind in about an hour... I have never stayed up for more than 24 hours at a time, so this will be interesting.
I most definitely will be sleeping on the subway on the way home... and this will wreck any plans I had for tomorrow (although, for once, I'd like to not do anything). Problem is, I always have something to do... school, for instance, wants me to make a 2-month career plan to organize my life schedule. shrug I can handle that... all I have to do is stick to it.
I've got
Ninety-thousand pounds in my pyjamas
I've got fourty-thousand french francs in my fridge
I've got lots and lots of lira
Now the deutschmark's getting dearer
And my dollar bills could buy the Brooklyn Bridge
There is nothing quite as beautiful as money
There is nothing quite as beautiful as cash
Some people say it's folly
But I'd rather have the lolly
With money you can make a splash
There is nothing quite as beautiful as money
There is nothing like a newly minted pound
Everyone must hanker
For the butchness of a banker
It's accountancy that makes the world go round, round, round, round
You can keep your Marxist ways
For it's only just a phase
For it's money, money, money
Makes the world go round
(Money, Money, Money, Money, Money, Money, Money, Money, Money!!!!)
