Awesome! I've just heard a rebroadcast with an interview with Samuel L Jackson (on the set of Black Snake Moan, his latest film) that everything is already underway for a "More Motherf**king Snakes on More Motherf**king Planes" (The title will probably be censored when it gets released, though). And I thought that mention way back when on the MTV award ceremony was a joke!
Samuel credited the Internet for the immense popularity of the first film and went on to say something to the effect of "I really want to thank all those people who went to see the movie when it first came out, and I can't wait for you to see what happens in the second. Things get really outta hand." He also pointed at the parody of the first film, Snakes on a Train, that really got the original film recognition to get the go-ahead on the sequel.
