This from CNN! The world's funniest joke.
I think it's a good joke. However, as I was reading that, I realized something. They put a full year's worth of research into finding that out... and yet they can't solve something like the common cold, or why we get brain freezes when we eat ice cream too quickly?
Eh? What's this? Why's Gravitation listed in the Family Gekijou website? (Click on the blue tab labelled "A-ni-me" in Katakana.)
Written atop a grassy hill near work at 8:00 (on break):
Because H2G2 had an article on stoep-sitting, I decided to go to the park and feed the ducks. On the way there I was thinking about where my life is going.
When I sat down in the park (no ducks - and it was dusk already), and noticing the CN Tower enveloped in fog, I was hit with the overwhelming feeling of loneliness.
I haven't kept in touch with any highschool buddies save for 2, and I don't even talk to them much. I haven't heard anything from my college friends, and I wonder what they're up to now.
What really tugs at me is the feeling of not having a warm body next to mine. The nights have turned cold and I have nothing to hug save the blankets on my bed.
On the way there, I was half-expecting to find a similarly-depressed girl that I might get to know.
I'm feeling as lost as a wandering soul.
This is a disadvantage if I had my own place. I'd be so fucking lonely...
At least I'm going to keep myself occupied over the weekend... Saturday I'm volunteering my time at Rogers (running my graphics on Swap Shop), and Sunday Sabrina is coming over (I'm going to get my Cats-eye contacts for Hallowe'en too).
Sometimes I wish this work schedule wasn't so abnormal. Both shifts effectively kill any chance of doing anything for the rest of the day - unless I can arrange something with someone for only 5 hours. Maybe I should go for tea with my classmates...
Out of this, I decided to call Sabrina to see what was up - seems normal there. Fighting with Nadia. :P
The nature show tonight was on "vulpes" - if I'm not mistaken, foxes. Particularly, pygmy foxes. Cute, especially the pure-black except for a white tip on their tail. ^_^ My only gripe is the music... it's louder than the (Italian) voicetrack, and goofy. More appropriate for 1950 sitcoms and cartoons. Swelling violins and banjos... o_O
I might just decide to sleep on one of the basement couches tonight, just to make things different.
