I would wholeheartedly disagree, in that the "playability" factor is pretty much BS. The Warhawk demo was about a week old, since that's how long the developer knew about Sony wanted to put motion sensing in the controller. In fact, according to the developers I know and regularly talk to, they were completely floored by the announcement, as the dev kits that some of them had gotten didn't include this feature.
Oh yeah, and while we're on the subject, the lack of rumble in the controller "interferes with the motion sensor"? Riiiiiiight. Because the Wii (with a far more complex motion sensing system) doesn't have rumble either because... oh wait, it does. Could it be because Sony GOT SUED over their rumble technology and rather than fess up to it, they remove it completely for the next generation, interrupting a LOT of developers who were employing rumble, expecting it to be there? Probably.
You'll have to forgive me, but as a gamer, Sony has made me extremely angry over their Trojan-horsing of Blu-Ray into people's homes, possible Draconian copyright rules (kiss the used game market goodbye), sequel after sequel after sequel... With only one really "solid" game on it and a $660 price tag (because the $550 one we all know is tantamount to the Xbox 360 Core package: completely useless) Sony's going to be ignored completely in my household this generation - at least until the price comes waaaaaaaaaaaay down. Like, way. Really way. Wii-level.
