Last night was the premiere of one of my best friends' performances, held at the Roy Thomson Hall.
David Stone (
bassbeast) had been working on this performance for ages, and it was based on the exerpt from Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet. Appropriately enough, it's titled The Prophet on Love.
The performance was brilliant, consisting of a string section and a choir of approximately 150-200 people. The word that I used to describe it is "harmonious".
First, the wedding, which was 3 weeks ago, then this performance. He has managed to have his original work performed in a concert hall, in 25 years no less.
I am extremely proud of him, as he should be.
