(no subject)

When buying items versus their cheaper "economy" counterparts, there are certain things in life that you should never skimp on.

A couple of these things are Saran Wrap and Q-Tips.

Anyone got any others?

Bolts. Big issue, this one.

A construction worker building the first GM-Saturn plant went to tighten a bolt with a torque wrench, the bolt broke, the construction worker overbalanced and fell to his death.

The bolt turned out to be counterfeit; it was rated as being far stronger than it really was.

And on a related note: tools. Tools don't have to be brand name, but they really do have to be quality. Crappy tools don't last (so you're not even saving money), and they can slip or break (shatter, explode...) at the worst moments...
