Wow, I've been falling asleep before my Playlist ends lately... and the playlist is only like 20 minutes. I remember hearing "Running up that Hill" but not the next song, "Hey Julie" last night. *blinkblink*
I've discovered my citrus plant has a small infestation of Citrus Mealybugs. Don't click that if you don't like looking at bugs, but just envision small orange sowbugs on my plant. :( Nonetheless, I'm working on clearing those off. They're little buggers, literally. I'll see if I can find a pesticide for them. (Just talking about them is making me all squirmy, so I'm stopping now.)
As well, I've realized I haven't really kept my LJ friends up to date on things that I've done recently. So here's a quick rundown.
On Wednesday, I visited Trapezzi, a local Italian restaurant/bar for a Media Schmooze. It was a simple affair, and met up with a couple of old friends from S+L. They always bring a magician to these events, and they're fun. Somehow, one of them managed to make a card hover. :D
Thursday, I had gone over to Kinnon's following work and played God of War (Oh. My. God. Of War. :P It's beautiful and fun!) and watched some Billy Connely (which I had mistaken for John Cleese in the Harry Potter films as Headless Harry).
Friday, I had dinner with my Mom and Grandmother at the Red Lobster. I love their food, and I didn't even get their crab legs. :P Grandma really was able to hear me and Mom as we got a booth and so Grandma didn't hear a lot of interference. Mom showed her pictures of her trip to the Dominican Republic. (I also showed the new Doctor Who to Mom later on, and while I don't think I've got her hooked, she liked it. Obsessed? Moi?)
Saturday, there was a Gathering. I saw the first episode of Beck, Tsukuyomi Moon Phase (eee! Nekojin Vampire!) and finally saw the first episode of the Oh! My Goddess TV Series, and the Reduced Shakespeare Company's rendition of the Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) (which I saw live so very long ago... still love seeing Hamlet done backwards), and watched Kev go through the entirety of Maniac Mansion throughout the evening.
But that kinda took a backseat to Kevin and Dana's child, Gabe. So. Freaking. Adorable! I have to admit that I've never felt at ease with kids (I'm always worried about holding them correctly and all that), but he was so cute and curious, he just looked around, (attempted to) pull on my hair, burble and otherwise just be so cute. XD
Anyhow... there is something truly satisfying and softer about changed bedsheets. They feel much better for some reason. :D And with that, I'm going to sleep in them. :P Ciao!
