What a wonderful gray day today!

(Argh, I can never figure out which spelling is correct - Grey or Gray? One of them in a Canadian thing...)

And me without my umbrella! :P At least it's not too much of a walk from the subway to my destination. Also thankfully it's not downpouring. (Though I like downpours. I used to take wild runs through them when I was in College, and I would even now. :) )

I did some Christmas shopping yesterday! Go me! :P It's a start, at least. :)

Pierre Berton passed away last night. While I didn't know him personally, he was a journalist, and as Alice Munro said "such an important writer in the days when there weren't any".

This man was on Monday Report a few short weeks ago, suggesting to use his books, The National Dream or Prisoners of the North, as a good surface for rolling joints on. (Loose joints could leave "unsightly toke burns on your chairs or your bow-tie.") See October 18th's episode for the video.

EDIT: While you're there, look at the commercial for the "Yard-a-rizer" on the November 8th episode. Someone finally changed the "I'll start with you" to "Don't start with me". XD
