Hi, all those who bother to grace my part of the LJ world.

I may as well give you a bit of information as to what I'm doing these days to give you a bit of a grip on what I'll rant about sometimes here.

As it stands right now, I'm currently a third-year student at College in a Broadcasting course. Being the final year, I was placed in an Internship with a reality-based TV station for the duration of the first Semester of Year 3, which was from Monday-Friday, September to December.

Occasionally, I get hired-on as a part-time worker in a number of different positions, depending on the situation - Master Control, Tape Librarian, VTR... you get the idea.

I decided to stay volunteering with the company into the new year, and I have recently made a decision to stop volunteering my time with them about Mid-April, considering that I have been scheduled up to that point and no further.

As well, I used to work a lot of hours at a large retail corporation. I originally worked on the retail floor, assisting people. I migrated to the Cash Office about a year-and-a-half ago.

Due to the reality-based station, which runs 24-7 and shows run from 8:00-11:30 at night, it killed most days of me working at the retail store from Monday-Friday, and if I was working, I was working in the Cash Office and not on the floor.

Recently they cut back on the hours at the retail store, so I was removed from the floor altogether, and I work primarily in the Office now, either one weekend or both days.

I have a special project that I'm currently working on, based off of a Japanese anime - Detective Conan. This is due April 8th, but I am picking up a digital camera this weekend from the school to dump the footage back to tape.

I filmed the whole "pilot" (end result = 7 minutes) on one day in early March, purchased a FireWire card, and dumped the footage into the computer here. I have been really happy with my FireWire purchase because it allows me to work on the project when I feel like it - I hate having to go to the school for 4 hours, only to have to dump the footage back to tape at the end of the night and have it incomplete. I must have worked on this project for at least 18 hours so far, and I might have 2 more to go to finish it.

I have found myself sleeping for only 5 hours a night for the past 3 days... I'm astounded I'm still alive right now. Last week I fell asleep on two instances - one I missed my stop by one station, the other time I missed my stop by one station as well - but I fell asleep STANDING UP. I thought that only happened in Japan. :P

Ah, yes, Japan. One of my pet-projects would be to go to Japan for a vacation, or even to live there. I'm self-teaching myself Japanese language and culture - admittedly I haven't been working on it recently, but I'll get it eventually.

As an attempt to get my weight down slightly (goal is to lose 20 lbs), I'm trying to exercise for at least 15 minutes a day. How am I going to do that? Easy... I've got a Dance Dance Revolution Dance Pad and the newest mixes - 5th Mix and Disney Mix. ;) It's so much more fun than just jumping around or running around the block - especially when it's frickin' freezin' out there, Mr. Bigglesworth.

Alright, I'm done for now. If you want to ask me any questions, leave me a comment and I'll answer them in the next update. If you want to know what companies I work for, I don't see why not - I'll tell you. I might even be nice and link 'em ;)

Latez!
