The Globe and Mail today had a little information on the Canadian Dollar (analysts expect the Canadian Dollar to hit $0.80 US in 2004). However, there is an article about smaller, less-important events that happened this year that they condensed into one article.

http://www.globeandmail.com/servlet/ArticleNews/TPStory/LAC/20031231/EWRAPUP31

Several things of note in there:
- Tim Horton's doesn't make their donuts in the stores anymore! ;_; (Nothing is sacred, yet the donuts remain holy.)
- Berlin will be creating Trashcans that will thank passersby who use them - Talking Trash, indeed
- A nine-metre (approximately 10 yards) fork was created in Rock City, NY to create - yes, a fork in the road.
- Heinz-Klaus Metzger has started an organ piece called Organ2 which is to be played as slow as possible - so it won't be finished until 2640. Thankfully he's not holding the keys down himself...

If those interest you, go and read the article. There's tons more, including a religious parrot. I don't want to spoil the whole article.

Speaking of which, anyone see today's Crossword Puzzle in the Globe and Mail? Including the clues, the thing takes up 2 whole pages. The crossword alone is more than 1/2 of a full page in the newspaper... O.o
