Memory Dump of Palm at 1pm today:
Well, after a month of uncertainty, we finally received closure in the form of a letter in a sealed envelope.
U8TV was unable to find another station, so effective at 4pm, everything will be shut down. The cameras were turned off around 11am, and most of the network and router systems were offline by the time I left at 12:30.
It appears that I will get some pay as part of my severance. That's good to know.
While cleaning out, Lili found some more t-shirts, so now I have two U8TV shirts. It's a good reminder of the time I spent with the company.
I hate crying openly, but when faced with leaving all the friends I made I just feel weak. Tonya made me feel better, though. She offered a hug when I needed one, and told me to be strong. I'll cry once I get home and let it out.
The Demo Tapes I made at Rogers seem to have a tracking problem, so I'll have to redo them.
I needed a comfort food, but there were no Twinkies at the convenience store, so I got something else.
This has got to be the toughest Beef Jerky I've ever had...
I'm going to a Farewell Party now. I hope to back around 8 or 9pm, probably sloshed and preparing to cry more, seeing that I didn't when I was "relaxing" at home.
