I just spent a good minute staring at a Yoga Ball that a co-worker brought in. It's one of those inflatable jobbies with a pinhole in the top to be inflated, but I'm watching it because the pinhole, where it would be heavier, is sitting on the top of the ball. I've tried several times to balance the ball on the pin-side, but it just flips right up to the top. I'm puzzled.

On a more positive side, I am now completely done with othernights (unless there's overtime)! I go into Encoding in a week's time, and I'll be sitting, watching movies and making sure that they're encoded correctly into our system. Yes, it's kinda strange, in this day and age, that we're still getting Beta tapes and have to digitize the content ourselves. I would think that we'd be in an environment where the data would be transmitted digitally, but I guess that's not the best secure fashion. But tapes are so antiquated...
On a more negative note, I missed the Summons to Court that I was given, oh, in May of last year. It was set for the 8th of this month, and I had written down on my calendars that it was the 26th (which was the date of the accident, last year). Honestly, I decide to give witness testimony because some fucker T-Bones another car and now I have to spend time on this. I hope I don't get fined over this, or else it just gives me more reason to avoid being a Good Samaritan. I mean, what's the point? No wonder people don't give flying fucks about anyone else anymore. Who wants the hassle?

Update: According to one of my bosses, he attended a court hearing as a witness once, it was postponed twice, never testified, and the officer told him to just go home, and that was a year ago, never heard from again. That puts my mind at ease somewhat... :)
