I've been wanting to play Guitar Hero III recently, but I sent out the disc awhile back (like, February) to get the remastered version that had Dolby 5.1 on it (rather than Mono). As it stands, I got an e-mail stating the replacement was mailed out in mid-April, so I sent them an e-mail asking if they can tell me about the whereabouts of my replacement disc.
Their response, after I give them my address, is "We haven't received your disc yet". Aside from the fact that their rebate site says they've already sent out my replacement. So, I think I might just refund the whole Guitar Hero III set. Rock Band's coming out pretty soon anyways...
And after all this frustration, I don't even have Dolby 5.1 hardware, so this "replacement" is pointless to me, too!
It's interesting to note that "Guitar" Hero IV is going to have drums (though I like those cymbals) and a microphone, too... gee, I wonder where they got that idea from. Konami's a bit late into the game with Rock Revolution (that has 6 drum pads! that's even more complex than necessary), now the music genre's getting too cramped...
