Does anyone understand the concept of Mornington Crescent, or rather, how it's played? As much as the Wiki entry says, I can't make heads or tails of it.
Hey! So, FanExpo. :P It was a tiring weekend for me, I have to say, but admittedly I feel like I didn't do a lot. I got an autograph of Gavin Blair, co-creator of ReBoot (two, actually - they had an Ashcan which I got a copy of), and went to the Q&A's that both Gavin Blair and Rainmaker Animation (previously Mainframe) held - there's a lot of information that I gathered from it, which I am more than happy to say here:

- The winning pitch on Zeros2Heroes was ReBoot: Arrival, as they listened to their audience (read: the fans) and continuously updated their pitch as they progressed, making it as user-friendly as possible.
- Plans for Arrival are as follows: They will be making a webcomic. If there is enough interest in the webcomic, a comic book will be created. If the comic book is successful, they are aiming for TV or perhaps Theatrical release of 3 movies - and they mentioned that when/if the Theatrical release comes out, it will be in 3-D - something that all CG-generated movies are now aiming for. (They did it with Meet The Robinsons and retrofitted it with The Nightmare Before Christmas). And furthermore, once they have the first movie out, their pipeline will be primed and ready to generate the following movie within 6 months, and 12 months for the final part. Wouldn't it be great to go see the ReBoot movie and know that in a year the trilogy will be complete, as opposed to, oh, 2-4 years? :)
- Rainmaker's DVD rights for the ReBoot seasons are being reverted sometime next year, and they are currently looking to make a 4-season DVD Box Set. (I will be one of the first in line for that. :D )
- Never piss-off Ian Pearson. Apparently it was his frustration at Bob's voice actor's unavailability that caused them to launch Bob into The Web. XD
- I asked if they are planning on having the original creators (such as Gavin) work on the projects. As it stands, they are in discussions, but of course, if it's what the fans want, it's what the fans will get. (A lot of the answers came down to "what the fans want is what the fans will get" - toy questions and DVD questions were all there.)
- I was upset in learning that Tony Jay, voice of MegaByte, passed away just over a year ago. It will be very difficult to replace him.
- There was an incredible set of ReBoot cosplayers that slowly trickled in throughout the Gavin Blair Q&A... and I'm not surprised they won Best In Show. ( Look at these outstanding costumes! )
I am honestly not surprised that they won Best in Show - and I didn't even see the Masquerade XD
