(no subject)

Now that Chris and Ysa are in-town and safe, I'm very happy. :) I picked them up with Ginny on Friday evening, and took them to their place of residence, where their very accomodating family friends offered us a walk through their (very book-laden) house, and curiously L-shaped yard (complete with brick fireplace!) where we roasted marshmallows and relaxed for an hour or so. These friends of Ysa's parents are very friendly and hospitable! :D

There was a Gathering last night, but due to my work schedule, I was only able to make it for a few hours, in which I managed to talk with a few people and catch a few episodes of a very freaky/dark anime called D Gray Man. Too bad I missed Hayate The Combat Butler... :\

I was just gonna pop on 'cause I was thinking about the tech behind YouTube - can you imagine how many videos it streams constantly on its website - and not even just the hundreds or thousands of videos it's streaming, but can you wrap your head around how many thumbnails (not even broadcasts, just the simple thumbnail before you click 'play') it sends all around the world every hour, due to its very liberal embedding policy? Even my own journal has 2-3 alone, multiply that by the number of blogs out there that embed YouTube videos and countless other websites... that's just a staggering number. O_o;;
