Just a quick computer-related note before I head off to work...
I attempted to run Ubuntu off of a Live CD, and just like Kubuntu, it had a karnel panic as well. I've checked the MD5 on the Kubuntu CD so there's no problem on that one, all I can think now is that there's a piece of hardware that doesn't like.
I've downloaded the Debian "netinst" collection and that's working, actually - until I get to the partitioning part, and then I realize I was stupid and allocated the whole C: drive to Windows. D'oh, I might have to start over. Again.
I also should probably burn some stuff off my D: drive. 160 gigs and there's 4 gigs left. O_o Methinks I've done a wee bit too much torrenting...
