This past Sunday (April 23rd, 2006) was the big day that Dave ([livejournal.com profile] bassbeast) and Erin ([livejournal.com profile] liradralyn) had been waiting for for over a year - their wedding.

I was honoured to be an Usher during this occasion, and along with another friend of David's, we handled directing the guests as well as introducing the Bride into the schoolhouse that was planned by the lucky couple. Christine and I watched as they were wed in the Enoch Turner Schoolhouse in downtown Toronto amidst the eyes of about 100 people.

Being there shortly prior to the big event, David was sweating bullets and nervous as anyone could be on their wedding day. Erin appeared to be quite steady as a rock, and I believe that was a great relief to him, contrary to what his face appeared to read when Erin came down the aisle. During the ceremony both said their vows quite elegantly.

At the reception, several speeches were given and many tears were shed as family members and the Guests of Honour gave their thanks to the numerous people that helped make the newlywed's special day even more special. A commemorative inaugural magazine was given to everyone ("D&E", again, made by the couple in secret) and hundreds of pictures were taken.

An after-party was held later on in the evening at the local Dave & Busters. It was a very nice, relaxing atmosphere to unwind following the day that had preceded the party. In their total gamer fashion, Dave and Erin wore matching t-shirts that had images of Mario and Peach, with "Groom" and "Bride" written on the back in big letters.

Congratulations to the happy couple of David Stone and Erin Bell!
