The condo corporation that owns our building is definitely working hard on things.
They've torn up the Garbage Pad, which is where the garbage thrown down the chute ends up. For the past week, the Pad has been nothing but rubble, but now it's wet cement and should be done probably by next Monday.
They've also already started work on the hallways for the condo complex, which is awesome - they've painted the ceilings on each individual floor, and then they'll work on the walls, the stone pattern surrounding the elevators, and the carpeting.
However, it appears that the carpeting isn't going to be ready until mid-summer at the earliest. Ick. They've already torn-up the carpet that was along the walls and also knocked out the trouble areas in the drywall, so the walls look really bad right now. I'm sorry to say that it appears that my hallways are gonna look horrid during the Gathering. However, the same can't be said for my place. I'm gonna make sure it's neat and tidy! :)
I went into the condo office today to say that I really like what's been updated recently and how pleased I am - go figure, the head of the committee was in there at the same time. :) She thinks I would be good to sit in on the committee to see how things are, and to give a little "young blood" to the team. There's an opening this April; I may try out for it. :)
