Ah yes, TOPL. Games we played were Tales of the Arabian Nights (I was ace on that one! I love hitting the genie with the pinball), Twilight Zone (I could never beat the score that Bob got on that game... he just kept going and going...), Monopoly (that game is just so... very... fast that I lose control really easy. I need to find the multiball options), and Indiana Jones (lots of loops and hidden areas... sadly I'm also horrid at that as the loops make the ball move quite fast). However, this was the first place I was at Nick's house, and this was a new house that his father built for him. He had something like 40 pinball machines all set out. O_O I still like Cirqus Voltaire and I especially still like Safe Cracker, but also played a lot of varied games. There was a No Good Gofers (which has a nifty up/down ramp mechanism and a couple of gopher targets), FunHouse (I liked that, but I think I'd appreciate it more if I could hear all the jibbering that Rudy, the giant head on the playfield, was spouting), Rollercoaster Tycoon (which has a Troll Doll in it - I knew they must've disappeared somewhere), and a Simpsons Pinball Party (which is more enjoyable than the first Simpsons pinball). He also had a worse-for-wear Baby Pac-Man (a game which I thought I would never see again in my life), a few standup arcade cabinets (with games like Tapper and Tempest, both with extremely sharp, pristine monitors), and - get this - a Discs of Tron "Environmental" Cabinet (which has lights surrounding the screen to attempt to replicate the land of Tron). Sweet! :D

Nick's house is incredible. He even has a soundproofed mini-theatre in one of the rooms on the main level - with the door closed you can't hear the pinball machines emanating from the basement!

Nick runs the Toronto Gameroom Show. I am so there. :D

And then last night there was the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the Condominium Complex that I live in. I got to meet the President of the Broad of Directors (Carol), and had a very good chat with her regarding situations that have come up over the past few years, and she is very happy with the fact that I am interested in the state of the Condo, and has welcomed me to come sit-in on their meetings. Yay! I've been wanting to do that for quite some time now.

Unfortunately, the AGM was adjourned before it even started as there was not enough people present for the law to be active. (a Condominium Law states that you need at least 25% of the people living there for the quorum to be declared open, so that equals 48 people - we had 41.) :( It will have to be called again later, which unfortunately means that the AGM will be sometime in July most likely, and I will be asking those whom I know in the building for their proxies. (A proxy is someone who absently votes.)

So, in any case, I'll probably be attempting to contribute some stuff to the CondoCorp at some point in the future. I'm glad I can do that, at least. :)

As ANN reported, on June 11, a few girls dressed up in Maid outfits and handed out what appeared to be pencilboards to celebrate the release of the first DVD of He is My Master in Akihabara.

Pictures can be found here.

It wasn't so much the maid factor that caught my attention (well, yes, it made me click the link), but what made look at the pictures was the fact that it appears the Laughing Man virus hit the website. XD
