I haven't been able to get to sleep yet, and I have to wake up at 6:00.

Someone shoot me with a tranq, thanks... ;_;

I think it's because I was up until 4 on New Year's Eve, and then didn't fall asleep until late last night either. But at least I'm feeling tired right now... I've made a mug of hot milk and hope it'll get me to sleep. It's an old-fashioned method, but it worked for me when I was younger.

I've been settling in to bed, and after a few minutes of restlessness, I would get up and do something. I've done this three times already, two of them were to list out all the things I need to deal with at work tomorrow (it's a very impressive list, I'll be surprised if I can find solutions to everything by the end of the week, much less the day), I've written out reminders to myself on my Palm (such as "Go exchange mayo" as I bought some horrid oil something-or-other that attempted to pass as mayonnaise - I'll do that tomorrow after work) and written some ingredients for a beef stew into my Palm for shopping tomorrow, as well.

Paid off a little bit of my Credit Card and Line of Credit Debt. I can't pay off a lot every month, but it's slowly chipping away, thankfully. I may start visitng the IGA only when I run out of my essentials (such as Milk, Teabags, Honey, and Cereal) and start living off my highly-packed cupboards.

(Pasta bought from the Bulk Barn is surprisingly good. Where do I buy barley for a stew, anyhow?)

Man, today was a total write-off. I played some GameCube, cleaned up the place a bit, watched Kino's Journey (already stated), I just hooked up Dave's computer a little while ago (that was another one of my "wake up and do this" moments tonight) and I've got it running a constant MemTest as Chris ([livejournal.com profile] scruloose) suggested.

Hm. Sometime this week after work I have to arrange my Aunt and Uncle with their daughters to come see the place, and drop off their old computer (as they think something went wonky with theirs, and they also bought a new system). Maybe I can turn this "recycled computers" thing into a business somehow. :P I also want to go back to the Ikea and pick up some shelves/bookshelf for my place. The coffee table can wait, now. :P ([livejournal.com profile] limeleopard, I'll talk with you later so we can arrange a day sometime - [livejournal.com profile] andora, want to come along?)

Well, the hot milk's all gone. Back to sleep, I hope. Otherwise tomorrow will be an ... interesting day.

H2G2 has a pair of intruiging entries: An Unconventional View of the 12 Days of Christmas and Dinner For One (I want to see this sketch, now - it sounds hilarious).

Looks to be a quiet day today, since today's a bank holiday and all that. But I've got a bit of work to do, so I'm closing this off. I'm still tired, unfortunately. I managed to fall asleep after that post last night, like I managed to fulfill something.

I'm excited about using the Crock Pot for the first time tomorrow! :P

I've got all the ingredients - peas, barley (both of those I found in the Bulk Barn, and the IGA had big bags o' barley), stewing beef, potatoes, carrots, celery... I'm gonna prepare all the foods tonight and then chuck 'em in the Crock in the morning before I head off to work :D

Hmm... should I make a stew, or a soup? Stew would just require the addition of cornstarch or flour, right?
