Well, here lies my final entry for about a week, unless I manage to post from work next week. Although my posts from work will be shorter than my usual blatherings.
After work, I met up with Mom and Seanna at the new place (they brought stuff! Food! Paper towels! Vim! Awwww!) and showed Seanna around, snapped pictures (once I get that scanner working, piccus for everyone!), then went shopping for some essentials (teapot, jug kettle, pots and pans, dish scrubber and drainer, cutlery) and not-so-essentials (vegetable peeler, strainer, corkscrew, mixing bowls) and some definitely-want-soon things (cookie sheets, hanging kits).
I think I did well... but I know for a fact my wallet and bank account are a-hurtin'. I still need to visit Ikea sometime for some inexpensive mugs and juice jugs and all that, but that won't be for a bit. I want to settle in first, see how I'm doing, then grab some other little things.
Like a coffee table. :P
I discovered that two of my 5 phone jacks don't work, including the one in the kitchen and the one near the TV area of the living room (even though both of them have plugs on the other sides of their respective walls), so I've quietly added "Wirecare" to my phone package and I'll call them tomorrow and have them come in to find out why they don't work. I hope I don't have the same problem with the Rogers. (Seanna also tells me I could get a "rush" done on the Internet installation, but that means they could come by anytime, and I'd have to cancel them each time they tried when I wasn't at home).
I will have all of the information for my condominium as of tomorrow, so hopefully I'll make a post soon with all my vitals on the place (including buzzcode and phone number). ^_^
