Wow, what a long day that was yesterday. Not complaining, however. *laugh* After trying to complete my computer (damn, I somehow caught a DDoS virus inbetween installing the new system and installing VirusScan), I went and picked up Leah and Roupen, then Ysabet and Chris and went to Whittamore's. After driving down this incredibly long country road, we finally arrived, bought a couple of buckets, and picked. Strawberries galore. It wasn't as ordered as I remember it being last year, but it was still fun. Wandering around, finding strawberries. Whoo!
We also visited the Whittamore's Store and got tempted (very much so) by everything in the store. XD Cherry Jam, Honey, organic tomatoes, wine, dessert wines... it was impressive.
We return back - after visiting a Krispy Kreme. We saw the little donut factory process, and the icing machine had me singing "A Criminal Mind" by Gowan, as the icing thing looked exactly like that white plaster-machine in the music video. XD!!!
We also watched a donut that, right from the start, we realized was a bad little donut. It wasn't conforming to the rest of the donuts - holding onto the rails, not flipping when told to flip... looking rather squashed (being rather half-baked), yet pleased with itself for surviving the "Criminal Mind" machine...
The memory of the delinquent donut will live on tho XD
We travelled to Longo's for foodstuffs. What time did we get home? 10? And started to prepare dinner. We had sausages and hotdogs, as well as a really nice salad with snowpeas from Whittamore's.
We saw the Animatrix, paused it halfway for fondue (or was it for dinner? O.o) and then came back and watched the rest. Then, discussions ensued (over fondue, so we must've breaked for dinner earlier) about stories and religious beliefs and angels (with some cyberpunk)...
...and I fell asleep amidst it all. O.o I eventually went home around 5ish, when the sky was a dark blue and not completely black. I helped another couple in a car find Yonge and Finch, tho, so I was feeling good.
I apologize to Roupen and Leah for kinda abandoning them at Chris and Ysabet's, and I apologize to Chris and Ysabet for leaving Roupen and Leah there. I didn't mean to do that, but in my half-asleep phase I didn't want to break up the conversation. I would have driven them home, if need be.
So, I've just come back from making strawberry jam upstairs (freezer jam), and I'm gonna go have a couple of slices of toast or a sandwich. Ciao!
[EDIT] Mmm... it'sa GOOD strawberry jam... and it's Canada Day! Fireworks! w00t!
