Heh. I first flood people with stuff over the beginning of the weekend, then a complete absence of posts the rest of the weekend.
I have to look at my recent posts to see what I last talked about. Why is my brain not here? -_-;;
Speaking of brain not being here, I forgot my watch today... and I think I also didn't brush my hair this morning. Oo;;
Ok, Gathering. I had a great time at the Gathering - Deso reminded me that I said I'd be there with a bell on... whoops ^_^;; I had to go get my outfit. Gotta keep up appearances, but the gloves were used for ... other purposes that night, other than being worn. They're not called "Glomping Gloves" (or worse, "Groping Gloves") for no reason ^_^
Tons of food. I was stuffed to the gills. :) Roupen is a brilliant cook, and that Shrimp Bruschetta was awesome. :) As was the ribs, "delayed-spicy" Chicken Wings, sausage... ^_^
I think I had fallen asleep in the hammock at one point. If only for a few minutes :P Lots of video games were played. I brought my DDR Ignition pad (almost forgot about it) so people could play DDR without slipping and tripping over the lightweight ones. We need to find a larger place to play those games so we can get 2 people playing at once...
Before I continue on, (and Ysa's gonna cringe) before the Gathering I was at the Grand Opening (Grand Buying, really) for The Rockefeller. Hey, I didn't know this company designed the Eaton Centre... Anyways, I still haven't purchased a condo, might not for a while yet, but I talked to a really nice woman there, who was the most help that I've had in all my searching so far.
She recommended that I go to the bank (she gave me the names of the people working with their condo corporation) and tell them all the info that I can - what I make, what I ultimately bring home, that I'm looking at a condo, What my down-payment would be, What current expenses I have (my car), I'm a first-time buyer, et cetera, et cetera, and they can tell me "You can afford a condo priced at X dollars, you can pay Y amount of money a month, and we can finance a mortgage for you for Z amount."
Considering that she was taking time out to talk to me (a non-buyer) instead of chasing down more likely prospects, it makes me feel like I was more than just a pocket liner. ^_^ When people go out of their way to help others, it's really nice. I went in knowing I couldn't buy, but I wasn't shrugged off when I told them that I was "just interested". It's service like that that makes me remember the company, and makes me want to return to the same company for future reference. It's called Customer Service. Retail shops should learn from this. ^_^
Remember WaterParkCity a month or two ago? Absolutely no-one from the corporation talked to me, I wasn't even approached. Turned me away without saying a word.
Anyways, back to entertaining things XD
Yesterday, we celebrated Chris' birthday. Ysa (Which, I apparently keep pronouncing "Yee-za" and not "Ee-sah"; am I right?) baked him a cake from scratch, which was incredible, and incredibly tasty. I can only make Betty Crocker cakes XD - even the icing was homemade. Now I know how to make that :)
We also watched all of the Hertzfeldt Films (Rejected, Lily and Jim, Ah L'Amour, Billy's Balloon, and Genre), followed by Red vs Blue. I always find Red vs Blue entertaining :) but I think we broke a couple of viewers with Billy's Balloon. XD
The night was ended by having a big camp/bonfire. Chris and I managed to find and hack down a small dead tree, which lasted for quite some time. The wicker that Emily brought, as well as a wicker chair that we found in the "dumping ground" went up like a roman candle ^_^
S'mores are good. :)

I don't know if that's right... o.o A Horse? I thought I was in another Chinese Zodiac... like, the Sheep. O.o
