I decided to purchase that CD Deck for the car. ^_^ I called up my Uncle who works at the company and I'm going to get it installed next Thursday. ^_^ While I'm up there, I'm going to get the oil changed, and the new Warranty Manual, too... killing 3 birds with one stone... niiiice. ^_^

I'm not doing much today, aside from working, but I'm going downtown to pick up the latest Newtype. Expect interesting anime tidbits to be in this space tonight! :P

Thanks, Servo, I needed proof!

AHHHHH FUUUUUCK! NOT AGAIN!

I've lost my post TWICE now.

I don't want to type it all out again, but it was such a good entry... FUCK.

Ok, I'll cut out the boring parts.

I hopped in my car and headed towards AnimeXtreme, and got lost. Basically, it was like heading out on a journey to the North Pole by heading South. It was a good start to the trip tho... found a good place to get some gas, considering all the war crap.

Around 2:15 I realized that I wasn't going to make it to AnimeXtreme... plus, I needed to get money from the bank if I was going to buy anything there. I decided to fuck it and get to work. However, I was halfway across town, stuck in mid-town traffic and couldn't make it in time, and every other road I took seemed to take me in the wrong direction.

So, I finally get near the Don Valley Parkway, and start speeding up to merge into traffic...

I didn't notice the final curve...

Combined with the rain, the car fishtailed and SLID.

Young Drivers teaches us to press on the gas, not the brakes, when in a skid. I kept a calm head, and managed to catch myself after about 5 heart-stopping seconds, without hitting anything.

Had the road been a bit thinner, I might have hit something.

I ended up being about 10 minutes late to work, and I'm still shaking a bit.

Wouldnn't it be just freakin' HILARIOUS if I had to call back my Uncle on the same day I ordered the CD Deck to cancel it, because I trashed the vehicle? v_v

And here at work, we have 2 movies to play tonight. Thing is, they arrived this afternoon, and they both have audio problems (one channel of audio where there should be two).

So, I need to ingest the movie into an editing machine, fix the audio, output the movie, and then re-ingest the finished movie into the Playback server.

Three times the length for a simple audio problem. This makes a 2-hour movie become a 6-hour ordeal. I can't fix both tonight, so one movie shall have to go to air with uncorrected audio.

FUCK, I wanna get out of here already. I'm hot, trembling, and bored out of my fuckin' skull. At least at AnimeXtreme I can talk with somebody about stuff I want to talk about, and get the new Newtype as well...

So much for the anime tidbits, huh...

Well, I managed to get to AnimeXtreme during a lull at work, but I really, really should not do that any more.

I left around 6:00, and the schedule was only programmed up to 7:15. One of those movies had to be played at that time. Plenty of time, I think.

I manage to get to the store really quickly - the Gardiner was totally empty - and picked up the Newtype and a Chobits Box Set (heh... they didn't have any without the stationary sets, so I bought one with a set for a good deal... I think those guys are awesome).

I hope back in the car and get back to the Gardiner, and ... uh-oh. There was a disabled car in the lane. It took me 15 minutes to get around him... O_o

By the time I got back, it was 7:10. The Odetics was happily chugging along, but unfortunately it wasn't functioning correctly with the movie tape (go figure... these movies must be cursed), so I had to start it manually. O.o Which means I also have to start the next movie manually, but thankfully once that's done, the rest of the night will be fine.

I hope.

My wrists started aching when I got into Chinatown... they feel strained. I really should stop writing... so...
