This morning was so wierd to me... I set my alarm for around Noon, so that I can get up and leave for 2:00 to get to work on time. Typically I'm waking up early these days, letting myself wake slowly, which makes me more awake all day (which is awesome for me, because typically I'm yawning by 6:00 O_o).
But around 11:30, I noticed that it's incredibly quiet outside. Like, REALLY quiet. No barking/howling dogs, no music, not even a car passing by our house on our (normally busy) street.
It was awesome. ^_^
Last night I stopped by my friend Drew's house - his parents are away on a month-long vacation, leaving him the house to himself - I'd find that pretty sweet!
He got himself a big rear-screen projection TV before Christmas - and HDTV-compatible, too. Considering that the old TV he used to have is bigger than my
current TV, this thing is MASSIVE. We flipped through a bunch of channels (we works for Rogers Internet, so he gets a Digital Box for free... lucky bast...), watched a bit of Monty Python, and actually popped in Monty Python and Quest for the Holy Grail, and watched a bit with Subtitles for Those Who Don't Like The Film (text from Henry IV shows up, instead... and for some reason matches up quite well to what's on-screen). Now I
have to get it.
He also showed me a couple of trailers...
Robota (a book by Orson Scott Card), Hulk (looks cool), and
Wonderful Days (a Korean animated movie... looks cool, and I can't find the Trailer online O_o)
Also showed me
Jedi Knight II. I think the concept of having about 20 people in an arena, attacking each other with Force Powers and Lightsabers is quite awesome ^_^ - Plus, his favorite cahracter skin is a Night Elf from Warcraft, and it looks incredible. ^_^ Of course, Drew doesn't play much MMORPGs, but he plays online multiplayer games like JKII... but he admits that he's waiting for
Worlds of Warcraft and
Star Wars Galaxies...
Hm.
Pixar's looking for a
new partnership, perhaps?
