Uguuuuu~~~.... as if my last post wasn't in the same tone or not...

I've just got back from work. Thankfully, it's my last day and I've got 2 days off now.

However, we at IPTN just celebrated with a pseudo-Christmas Party by eating loads upon loads of meat and seafood at The Keg.

I have an 8oz steak with spicy shrimp and spicy crabmeat... and currently I'm so bloated and full that I'm totally not having dinner.

Gods! I just realized that I have a lot of things in my Palm that I haven't acted on, plus several e-mails that have gone unanswered for at least a month!

So much for me trying to get back into socialising. I'm going to write up a holiday e-mail and send it out tonight.

All my classmates wanted to see my "Detective Conan" video, and that was at last years' Donny Awards (April 2002). I may take a day or two and show it around downtown (where most of my classmates are working).

Mom had suggested that I read this novel by John Grisham called Skipping Christmas. I managed to read the entire thing while I was at work yesterday, and only in a few hours, too. It's a very entertaining read about a couple that decides to forego Christmas and take a cruise.

Now I know why so many Grisham novels have become movies - it's extremely easy to adapt this book to a screenplay. Throughout the second half of the book I was envisioning how I could make a short film out of it. I might see if it would be possible to shoot. ^_^

This Wild Thornberrys movie looks cool - but since I've never watched the show I'd be lost in the movie. But Tim Curry does the voice of Nigel Thornberry (the father)! This floored me. No wonder he hasn't been doing acting these past few years... he's been working with them!

And I also found out that Treebeard (from the second LOTR movie) is played by none other than John Rhys-Davies (Gimli)! Very cool!

Speaking of LOTR, I went with Sabrina over to Kinnon's to see the extended version yesterday. Very sweet version of the movie - made it a bit unpaced, but lots of extra little scenes made it worthwhile. "Hey, this is new" was said a lot ^_^

Kinnon got me a small Christmas gift as well - this awesome Chobits calendar. ^_^ I feel bad that I don't have anything for him O_o - I'll have to make it up to him somehow.

This article at H2G2 speaks about those who get so immersed in their computer games that they get a syndrome where they can't distinguish between real life and the monitor. Take a look - it's got some funny comments.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas.
Let your heart be light,
From now on our troubles
Will be out of sight.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
Make the Yule-tide gay,
From now on our troubles
Will be miles away.

Here we are as in olden days,
Happy golden days of yore,
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more.

Through the years
We all will be together
If the Fates allow,
Hang a shining star
On the highest bough,
And have yourself
A merry little Christmas now.

It appears that a lot of people are not having the best of Christmases this year... just tell yourself that everything will turn out for the best and that if you are in sorrow, that this, too, shall pass.

It seems to be a very overly-stressful year for us. We, as a race, have gone through a lot in the past year, and the next year will hold more of the same. However, we shall learn from our troubles and our mistakes, and we will rise above our problems and tackle them anew with a heightened sense of security and knowledge.

May you achieve what you desire in your dreams and may you continue to do what you enjoy. Continue to love one another and continue on with your lives. Remember all the good times you've had and forget the bad times.

Happy Holidays to everyone. Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, and have a joyous, safe, and prosperous New Year.
