Wow... Haven't updated in a while. This injury has definitely cut me back on my computer time - mainly because I don't have the strength to sit down (and bend the knee) and getting out of the chair (which involves straightening the knee). It's been easier for me to move about (although I still hobble), which is definitely good for me.
'Tho yesterday I was on my feet for about 6 hours and I'm paying for it today. :| It looks like it's healing well, however. Probably the worst thing is that I can touch it and I can't feel anything - I must have worn the nerves right out. :(
I'm seriously thinking about taking a couple of weeks to work on some story ideas for "Detective Conan". I'm going to try to expand upon the Pilot I created (currently standing at 7 minutes) and add some scenes so I don't need a full page of text as a sequeway.
I've got my schedule for U8TV - hm. Seems that I'm going to be getting a Part-Time Weekend and Occasional Weekday Contract. My entire schedule for the next 6 weeks is Mon/Tue for the next 2 weeks, and the remaining weeks are weekends only (either daytime or overnight). Seeing that I also only work at the Retail Giant for weekends too, this is going to cause some major problems. I could go back to weekdays on the Reatil Floor - but I don't wanna because I never liked confronting customers.
I hate organizing my life around conflicting schedules. I can't make everyone happy. :(
The call from Astral was to alert me to a Job Opening that I am eligible for - a Tape Librarian job. If I were to be hired for this, it would be (hopefully) a 9-5, M-F schedule... that'd make me very happy. However I haven't heard anything from them yet, so I'm hopeful. I don't want to quit the Retail position to go to U8, and then quit that position to go to Astral - so I'll wait until Astral gets back to me.
Eh, I'm gonna stop saying "the Retail Giant" and say "Canadian Tire" from here on in.
I hope U8TV hasn't thought I've automatically accepted their offer - they've scheduled me and they still haven't given me the official contract.
I don't mind working at Canadian Tire in the Cash Office but the pay is lousy. Considering I handle approx $20,000 every day I'm there you'd think they'd have enough to pay more than $8.50/hour...
I should follow-up with the Casino at Woodbine - I've heard that Cashiers and Slot Operators make some awesome tips there (and I've never had a job where I get tips)... or maybe a Bank might be interested in my money-handling skills.
Wow... someone with too much time on their hands has made the Yoshi's Boxx, a 5-in-1 video gaming system (Atari, NES, PS2, Xbox, and GameCube) as well as a functioning PC. Don't try this at home, kiddies, unless you are a Modder.
